Sector 5 Labs is run by Allen Ojuka, an engineer who's previously built for Cyclic (previously a Render, Vercel & Railway competitor) and Manufactured Networks. Based in Nairobi, working with startups in the US and Kenya.
Our mission is to build AI products that let small businesses operate like big ones. Until those products are ready, we fund the work by building the kind of website we'd want for ourselves — fast, AI-native, shipped on time.
Questions.
How is this different from a freelancer or an agency?
A freelancer is cheaper but usually slower and rarely ships production-quality AI agents. An agency is faster but starts at $15k+ for the same scope. We sit between: senior-level work, productized, fixed timeline.
What if I need more than 6 pages?
Each additional page is $300 if added during scoping, $500 mid-build.
Do you write the copy?
We help structure it and edit it. If you want fully written copy, that's a separate $1,500 add-on.
What about hosting?
Deployed on Vercel by default. You own the account. Hosting cost is on you (usually free to $20/mo for sites this size).
Can I pay in KES (Kenya)?
Yes — Kenya-based clients get a separately scoped offer. Reach out and we'll talk.
What's your refund policy?
If we miss the 7-day deadline for any reason that's our fault, you get a full refund. If you cancel mid-build, deposit is non-refundable.
Is this just a website with a chatbot?
No. The AI agent is a working, configured tool that does real work — qualifying leads, answering customer questions, or guiding onboarding. Not a chat widget pinned to the corner.
